We've Been Gone to Long

Lately, I have had plenty of time recently reflecting on my time with Yorick. For those that don't remember, about a year ago, I thought I had lost Yorick. He had been gone for some time and finally he came back home to me. Yorick is my best friend and I have no idea what I would do if I ever lost him. I understand that someday, the time will come, but not yet. I would never let anything happen to my Yorick. The other day we went out to Dunbarton for a hike through the woods. We had heard about a nice small little spot just outside the center of town where there were little creatures swimming in the water. Sure enough, when we got there, we found those little creatures. they were newts. I had never seen newts before and I was sure that neither did Yorick. They looked like lizards with big fish like tails. Actually, now that I think about it, they looked like salamanders. Those are tiny lizards that usually live under tree stumps on the ground. Anyhow, Yorick took much interest in these newts and thought he would go into the water to get on of them. Yorick had forgotten that he doesn't swim. So like the best friend that I am, went in after him. Now does anyone remember what time of the year it is? Anyone? It is almost winter. I nearly froze my tail off! I really hope that Yorick doesn't decide to do that to many more times. I don't think I could take to much more of this. So while we were drying off, we continued to watch the newts swim around. Yorick almost jumped back in the water, but I reminded him how cold the water was and that he couldn't swim. He really wanted to jump back in, so I decided to head hope before he actually did again. We had a great time today. So much fun that Yorick fell asleep on the way home. I love that cat so much.
