Looking Silly

Well, If you tell me you have done everything, chances are, you are lying. I thought I have done everything until I realized that I haven't Leave it up to Yorick to help me figure that out. Now, yesterday, we went up to Lebanon for a hike on the Rail Trail they have there. This trail runs for miles through several towns. We didn't have time to hike the whole thing, but we did venture down a very nice stretch. So anyhow, Yorick like to climb onto things. Usually, he does this even though I ask him not to. this usually never works. Remember, it is like trying to teach him how to play soccer. It just doesn't work.

So we arrive at the Rail Trail and Yorick jumps out in front of me, which is fine. We get to the gate at the intersection to the trail and the road and he goes and climbs onto the gate. Standing at the gate and staring at Yorick, I begin to wonder, can I climb onto the gate? I suppose there was only one way to find out. First I had to figure out how I was going to get up there. There were no pegs to climb up with or rope to grab a hold of. Maybe I could jump up. It seemed kinda high. So I tried to jump and I could just barely touch it. I tried again and was almost able to grab a holed of the bar. Not willing to give up, I tried again and was able to grab the bar. Now what! I am not the most athletic pig in the world and my muscles are still a work in progress. I pulled and pulled and pulled and to my surprise, I was able to get my foot on top of the gate. But that was about it. I couldn't manage to get the rest of myself on the gate. But, now I had a problem. I couldn't get my foot off the gate. No matter what I tried, I was stuck. And of course Yorick was no help. After about 10 minutes, someone came by and helped me down, but not before taking this embarrassing picture of my back side. You would think that helping me down would be first on the list of things do to in this situation. Geez, this picture makes my butt look big.

Once I got down, Yorick climbed down as well. We did manage to find 1 box on the trail afterwards called Footloose Caboose. It was a nice area, but now felt as if we should be heading home. It felt like people were watching me now after what had just happened. Not a wonderful thought. We will have to come back on another day when there aren't so many people. Shame too! It was such a beautiful day.
